A pair of framed prints from All Divided Selves, 2011, is a film exploring the ideas and legacy of British psychologist RD Laing (1927-89). The film represents a rich collage of captivating archival material, in which the viewer becomes an inadvertent witness to psychiatric sessions.
Luke Fowler is an artist and filmmaker based in Glasgow. Fowler studied printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland. He was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 2012 for his solo exhibition at Inverleith House in Edinburgh, which showcased his film, All Divided Selves. Fowler has had recent solo exhibitions at CCA Glasgow, Tate Britain, ICA London, the Berlin Film Festival, CCS Bard Galleries (New York), Bergen Kunsthalle, Serpentine Gallery (London, UK) and X Initiative (New York). In 2008 Fowler received the inaugural Jarman Award for artist -filmmakers.
